Wow!!! It will be ONE year on Sunday that Erik and I got married! Thinking back at about this time I was frantic and stressing about getting things done for the big day. And now we are expecting little Sophia in almost nine weeks!!!! Time flies!!! So for our anniversary/babymoon we decided we would go back to where we had our honeymoon, CANNON BEACH, OR!!!! I am soooo excited and have been looking forward to this trip for just about 5 months now!! It will be the last big trip we take until the baby comes. Once we get back I will post pictures!

Sun Valley Half Marathon!!!!!

It was soo beautiful up in Sun Valley this weekend!! I had forgotten how beautiful it can be in early summer with everything blooming. Erik ran the half-marathon and did an AWSOME job!! I am so proud of him and what he accomplished! There were a couple of times I think he was ready to throw in the towel, but he didn't give up!!!! And finally I took a picture to show my growing belly. This is just about 27 weeks and only 13 more to go!!

What's new with us...

Erik and I put these super cute trees up in the nursery last night!!!! Only a couple of more things to do and WE are done with the nursery!!!!!! I can't wait....I have been sort of stressed out trying to get it done, but now it's close to being done!!!

We have been so busy working outside working in the garden! Once it starts growing I will take some pictures of all the yummy produce!!! It's looking pretty good so far.

Other happenings......Erik is running in a Half-Marathon this Saturday up in SunValley!!!! I am so excited for him! I will post pictures once we get back!!! And for the little one, she's getting bigger and bigger each day. We saw her yesterday on an ultrasound, but couldn't really get any good pictures because she was facing down. :( That's all I have for now.

One Little Birdy, Two Little Birdy....

This past weekend Erik and I got some of the nursery furniture in!!! We were lucky enough to have my brother and mom help us get it all up the stairs!! It looked like it was super HEAVY! Erik and I put the crib together, which was a bit of a task! We don't have much experience in that department, but we eventually got it together maybe 2 hours later. I still have lots to do in the nursery, but it's definitely getting there. Now that I am at 24 weeks, things are getting more real that we, Erik and I, are going to be parents.

P.S. I promise I will post pictures of the tummy soon....just haven't been in the mood for pictures, but I will!!!!

So it's been awhile since I have blogged!! But we have been doing a lot the last couple of weeks!! Erik did the Bloomsday Run on May 3 and did an awsome job!!! There were over 35,000 participants!!! It was crazy, but we had a blast!!! Then after the run we drove to McCall and stayed there for the night!!! It was beautiful being right on the lake, but was a bit cold.

Boyd wanted to say hello!!

So it was a nice enough day today that Erik and I thought that we might work on the garden for a bit. We brought the dogs out into the pasture with us hoping that maybe, just maybe this one time they might obey and hang around long enough for us to get done working on the garden. In a matter of seconds, Ella was gone!!! Andy, (big black dog) obeyed and stayed with us. Ella had slipped underneath the barbwire fence and jetted after some, well we don't know exactly what she was after, it could have been her own shadow for all we know!!

So I popped in to Erik's work yesterday to get a quick ultrasound. Our official Doctor (not Erik) came into to do the actual ultrasound and our little bundle wanted the world to see what it was and it's A GIRL!!!! Yes, it's true, Erik and I are having a baby girl!! We are so blessed and so excited to be bringing a child into the world!! So that's the big news around our neck of the woods!!!

This last summer Erik and I made a goal to run a half-marathon. Neither of us had ever ran 13 miles and decided it would be fun to try. Well, we did it this past November in San Francisco with our good friends, the Duffy's. It was amazing and we had so much fun that we've decided the next big goal is to push a running stroller with our baby in it for a marathon. That's 26.2 miles of pushing a stroller -- no big deal after delivering a baby!!!!!!!! Erik made this fish face, so for the rest of the trip we all tried to make that face!!!

Washington, DC

This January, Erik and I were able to go visit my brother and my sister-in-law back in DC! It was so much fun! They are wonderful hosts. We went to a Massachusetts cocktail party! It was at the National Baseball Stadium. While we were there the Govenor of Massachusetts showed up so Erik had his picture taken with him. As you can see it pretty much made his night!!! Unfortunately, I can't remember the Govenor's name!!! OOOpps!!

Slacker...

Well, our house is just too big for two people, two dogs, and two alpacas. Combine that with our love of children and a desire to have our kids graduate before Erik has to start using a walker, and you get the result of our fruition...a baby!!!!! Yep, I am pregnant!! I am in about 13 weeks along!! We will find out more on Monday! Aside from throwing up every once in awhile, I am feeling pretty good!! Tomorrow is my first ob appointment!! Our dear friend Cathy Engle will be doing the actual delivery, but if all goes well Erik might just step in and deliver himself!! Cross your fingers!!! Stay tuned. I will post some tummy pictures and ultrasound pictures soon.
